Vocal recording is completed and mixing is in progress at the moment. The album is going to sound amazing.

Though the focus has definitely been on completing tracks, rather than starting new ones, I haven't been writing much lately. However, I have come up with a few ideas that have been, at the very least, fun. It is with this is mind, in combination with the urging of James Suit to give SoundCloud another shot, that I'm happy to post my newest work in progress.

Recording

Recording has been going terrific. In three days of recording, we've setting up all the songs, tracked vocals for six, and finished tracking drums. Everything sounds amazing so far.

Now that I'm in the studio, I have a bit of renewed energy for writing, but I don't want to write more Maybe Bomb material at the moment, as I only want to focus on the album tracks. Thus, I'm having fun writing some more instrumental texture pieces.

Here's an exercise in improvisation and layering sounds. I was working on asymmetrical modulation on this one.

Studio Time Booked!

It is finally happening. Studio time has been booked, and I will start the recording process for the first full-length Maybe Bomb album later this month at Architekt in Butler, NJ.

There is not much more to say, other than the fact that I am incredibly excited and nervous. This has been a long time coming, and it's right around the corner.

I'm going to do my best to document the experience. I look forward to sharing it with you.
